iKey AK-39

i-Key has announced a super rugged keyboard, AK-39, which is to be strapped on the wrist and it claims to comply to the military grade of ruggedness, the MIL-461 standards.

The AK-39 wearable keyboard is able to withstand harsh conditions, especially good at shielding itself from those environments full of electromagnetic interference (EMI). The AK-39 keyboard comes in small footprint, has the basic 39-key layout, integrated with a pointing device which utilizes Force Sensing Resistor(TM) (FSR) technology with left- and right-button functionality and with adjustable LED backlighting that offers night vision compatibility.

This wearable keyboard has a built-in USB cable, available in left and right-arm configurations, serves as the only connection to the computers. No information if it supports Bluetooth or other wireless connections to devices. There is also no pricing and availability information. But this wearable keyboard is meant for the soldiers and no information of iKey will make it for the public.
