Solar LED Cap
Just when you thought you had seen all the solar-powered gadgets imaginable, a company in the UK is selling baseball caps with solar-powered LED lights for $50. The top of the brim is a solar panel that powers two LED lights under the brim. Spend a day hiking and have enough light to read a book in your tent or navigate at night. Or simply see where you’re going when you walk the dog before bed.
Not the most efficient system out there, the solar caps initially take three days to charge to capacity, and then offer five hours of full-strength power. Then, a mere eight hours of daylight will recharge the system. The lights can shine up to 30 feet, depending on the angle of the cap.
Now, who’s to say if you’re just styling when you wear your hat backwards or are you just trying to catch as much sunshine as possible?
