Unbelievable, no? Actually never thought a netbook will offer Blu-ray drive so soon. But if report is to be believed then Acer’s upcoming Aspire One machine, the One 571, indeed features a mini Blu-ray drive. Though design-wise nothing has changed, on specs front things are very much different. The Aspire One 571 features Atom N280 processor, 10.1″ 16:9 widescreen display with increased resolution of 1280×720, Quartics Q1721 Multimedia Coprocessor for encoding and decoding of H.264 content, and Vmedia’s optical drive which supports tiny Blu-Ray discs with a diameter of only 32mm and a capacity of 1GB. No word on other specs so stay tuned for more!
