Cellular Signal Extender

From Blog

Verizon has rolled out a cellular signal extender, which makes use of the broadband Internet connection of the user to boost the weak cellular signals at some corners inside the house.

This signal extender is called Verizon Wireless Network Extender, designed by Samsung and is planned to retail for $250. The device is just about the size of a wireless router which is easy and doesn’t take up too much space to be installed in your living space.

The Verizon signal extender uses the Femtocell technology to enhance those corners and areas inside homes where cellular signal coverage is poor or being disturbed by other interferences. The extender is able to provide the enhanced signal in an area up to 5,000 square feet.

Verizon will not charge any monthly fee for using this device. Calls initiated on the CDMA network extender will transfer automatically and continue on the Verizon Wireless network when leaving the Network extender area.
